Balance is everything. There should be a balance between natural habitat for wildlife and the needs of foraging livestock. Seven ponds have been dug on the farm to provide both habitat and water for the cattle. Every effort is made to avoid overgrazing by rotating pastures and employing careful management practices.  All the cattle are raised on grass whether hay or pasture.

The farm is focused on providing as stress free and natural an environment for the cattle as possible. We can see the results in their docile behavior of the livestock and taste it in the beef produced. No hormones have ever been used and antibiotics are avoided. The hay is raised without the use of herbicides. Most of the fertilizer comes from the cattle and the introduction of red clover.
